I am driving up 85
in the kind of morning that lasts all afternoon
just stuck inside the gloom
Four more exits to my apartment but
I am tempted to keep the car in drive
and leave it all behind

Crud, the really sad thing is I know that one, even though I don't really like the guy. He does play a Fender Stratocaster though, so gets some points with that one. I don't want to give it away, but I can say it rhymes with "Rohn Bayer"...
